The Voice 2 Top 8 Semifinals : Vicci Martinez and Cee Lo Green - “Come Along”

Vicci Martinez made the finale on the first season of The Voice. She ended up finishing in 3rd place. Javier Colon won, Dia Frampton finished 2nd, and Beverly McClellan also made the finals.

Vicci and all of the other finalists are returning to perform on the Top 8 results show on Tuesday, May 1, 2012. This episode starts at 9 Eastern time on NBC, and it lasts one hour.

Martinez will be performing her own single “Come Along” with Cee Lo Green, her old coach for Season 1 (last season). Cee Lo is featured on the actual single. As far as an album, Vicci has not put one out since making the finale of The Voice. The press release also mentions nothing about a forthcoming album. According to Vicci, a Swedish woman first released this song in 1999. This is kind of sad. You make the finale of The Voice, have no album, and have to do a cover of someone else’s song just to have a single?

This performance is a lot better than that Dia and Kid Cudi song. Vicci is like a mini Melissa Etheridge, and Cee Lo had one of his better vocals he has done on this show.
