FAQ

1. What are the qualifications for participating in WritingShares.com?

You do not need any specific formal education. However, you need to be reasonably proficient at writing articles in the English language. Use a spell checker if you have spelling problems. If you do not understand the basics of writing an article, then you need to learn. You should have an introductory paragraph and some supporting paragraphs that expound on the topic. A concluding paragraph is recommended but not required for SEO writing.

You must also have reasonably fluent grammar and use natural English phrases and correct slang if you choose to use slang. If it is clear from your grammar and language usage that you are definitely not a native speaker, then you are not qualified for WritingShares.com.

2. How much can I make?

Read the Lifetime Profit-Sharing Pool page for this answer. In short, it is impossible to say exactly what you will make because it depends on the number of shares you have, the amount of money in the global profit-sharing pool and the number of worldwide shares among those qualified to earn money on their shares in a particular pay period.

3. How do I apply?

On the right-hand side of every page, you will see a subscription form for an email list. You must join that list and confirm your subscription in the first email. Then, you will receive an application to that same email address in the next email.

4. How do I qualify to get paid?

You must first get accepted as a writer and then submit one article and get it accepted. After that, you have 90 days from the date your first article is accepted to write 29 more articles that are accepted by us. If you fail to do that, you can sign up and start over again.

After you qualify to get paid, there is a monthly pay period. You must have at least one article accepted during that pay period to earn money on your accumulated shares. If you fail to get one article accepted, you will not lose your shares for future pay periods. You just won’t get paid on them for any period in which you did not get even one article accepted.

Both of these rules are for the benefit of our active members. There is just no excuse for not writing even one article in a whole month. Without this rule, we would dilute the profits of our active writers.

5. What can I write about?

It is best to read the home page and the Writing Rules page to learn how to pick topics for writing articles for this program. The Recommended Titles program is also a good place to claim actual titles. We give you the ideas in this section of the site if you are stumped for article topics.

6. Can I include affiliate links?

No. Writing Shares is for SEO articles. It is not an advertising website. However, you may include a bio at the end of each article. This bio may include a link to your website and Facebook or Twitter page. You may not link to an affiliate page or use URL forwarding to forward visitors from your website to an affiliate page. The page that visitors actually see must be YOUR website or Facebook or Twitter.
