Hollie Cavanagh has managed to reach the Top 5 of American Idol by the skin of her teeth. She and Elise were destined to be in trouble every week even if they give good performances. And now that Elise is gone, Hollie is next up on the chopping block unless she can somehow rally a lot of the casual vote and upset the top 4 contestants.
This week, Hollie will sing a British song and a 60s song. This article is for her 60s song choice. I will post the YouTube video of this Top 5 performance after American Idol releases it. That way, you can watch an official copy.
Check out my home page for an article on Hollie’s other performance and articles on all the other Top 5 contestants of American Idol 11. I have included a YouTube video of Hollie’s Top 6 performance of “The Climb” until Idol posts her new performance.
Hollie is singing Ike and Tina Turner’s “River Deep, Mountain High.” She got all good comments from the judges. They all said they loved it. Hollie sang first, though. That could be tough when it comes to getting votes.
