Violent Crime News Video For Loganville, Georgia: Paul Ali Slater Shot By Feisty Female Homeowner During Burglary

WSBTV.com has a video on this crime story. You can see that below.

Paul Ali Slater got more than he bargained for when trying to burglarize a house in Loganville, Georgia. The lady of the house was at home with her 9-year-old twins. When she realized there was an intruder in her house, she waited in the attic. When ex-convict (likely soon to be current convict again) Slater opened the door to the attic, the unidentified female homeowner opened fire on him.

Slater was shot 5 times in the face, neck, and head area. He struggled out to his vehicle to get away and managed to drive off before crashing into some woods.

Justified Shooting:

Georgia does follow the castle doctrine. And we are dealing with a female and a male intruder. Those factors weigh in favor of a justified shooting. As far as we know, the suspect was unarmed. That tends to weigh against a justified shooting. Did he actually approach the homeowner in a threatening manner? If so, then of course she was justified in shooting. But that much detail has not been provided in the reports. So it’s still up to law enforcement to make this decision.

Even in your own house, it’s normally not a good idea to shoot and ask questions later. At the very least, if you don’t see a gun or other weapon, at least give a warning before shooting an intruder.

      You sir are an idiot!!

And you must not know much about criminal law. People have been prosecuted many times for shooting someone in their house. Ugh. I won’t even give examples. Educate yourself. It’s not my job.

P.S. Your previous comment that merely said that I am an idiot is not worthy of being a comment. Simply calling names will not be accepted. If you have a real point to make (you obviously don’t, though), then you can post. But don’t just post simply to call me or anyone else names.
