Sitcom Two and a Half Men underwent a major cast change in 2011 when Charlie Sheen was fired from the show. Ashton Kutcher took over Sheen’s role. As of 2011, though, Two and a Half Men is still riding high on advertising revenue.
According to a Forbes report of the top money-making TV shows, Two and a Half men came out in 3rd place for 2011. It pulled in $3.24 million for every half hour. It was only behind the American Idol (first place) and X Factor (second place) reality TV singing contests.
Overall, ratings dipped for the year for Two and a Half Men. They went up dramatically for the return of Ashton Kutcher but have come back down to earth since then. Only time will tell if the show maintains its Top 3 spot for TV-show advertising revenue and #1 ranking among TV sitcoms.
