Favorable Winning Odds for The Voice 2 Lindsey Pavao: Numbers Way Out of Whack

It is rare that bettors are so far off on a betting pick like this. Bovada recently finally released the winning odds for The Voice 2. Heading into the Top 16, Tony Lucca is listed as the favorite at 4.75. That is somewhat of a surprise, but Tony was also my initial pick as the winner of The Voice 2. But this situation is complicated because a large part of the problem is that Tony has suffered from bad song choices forced on him by the producers and coach Adam Levine. There seems to be a conscious effort to sink Tony so that Cee Lo or Christina can win the competition. But he still got voted through by the public to the Top 16.

Juliet Simms is listed as the 2nd favorite at 6.0. This one is not a surprise, as Juliet was praised for giving perhaps the best performance of the Top 24. Her iTunes sales were right up there with Lindsey Pavao, as well.

Speaking of Lindsey, this is the real shocker. She is listed at 11.0 and only the 5th favorite. Bettors even have Jamar Rogers and Jesse Campbell ahead of her.

Now, betting is betting, and there are reasons not to pick Lindsey. She seems like the type that hardly ever wins, but all other signs point to Lindsey being either the favorite to win The Voice 2 or 2nd favorite behind Juliet. Yes, it is true that guys win more often than not on these shows. But it is typically a musician type, not someone who seems to be mostly just a singer like Jamar or Jesse.

Yes, I personally believe now that Jesse is the best singer left, but anyone who watches these shows would know that Campbell has an uphill climb in the personality department. He just can’t be favored over Lindsey to win this. Jamar is in a similar boat, and there is almost no way Jamar is getting past Juliet, anyway.

I am not a bettor, but if I were betting, I would only place money on Juliet, Tony, and Lindsey. If following a very long-term strategy with no bankroll issues, I would bet it all on Lindsey. If needing some hedge bets for bankroll reasons, I would place some hedge bets on Juliet and Tony. With Tony at 4.75, you would win 375 if betting 100. Even that would have you in profit if placing money on all three. If Juliet or Lindsey win, that is an even bigger overall profit.
