So far, American Idol 12 has aired some of the auditions from New York, Chicago, Charlotte, and Baton Rouge. For January 30, 2013, Idol has an episode that combines Season 12 auditions from both San Antonio, Texas, and Long Beach, California.
I will upload the YouTube video of Brianna Oakley’s audition as soon as it is available. That is usually within a day or so that the performances air on TV.
Brianna’s Audition:
Brianna Oakley is 16 years old. She is from Antioch, California. Brianna has a big sob story. She was on Maury Povich’s show at one time for her singing. She then claims that she was bullied after that. I don’t see the connection at all. The story may be completely true, but she seems to be stretching for a backstory.
Brianna sings Patty Griffin’s “Up To The Mountain.” She got a very long audition performance, and it was a great one. The control and presence were great.
Keith loved her hair, control, and everything. Nicki says this is her moment. Randy says Brianna has natural talent. Mariah says people get bullied for all sorts of things, and it’s just great that she has gotten past it. Oakley gets a YES vote from all 4 judges.
Predictions For This Contestant:
I did not see Brianna’s name on the Top 20 Girls spoiler list for Season 12. She sounded good enough for the voting rounds to me.
