The New York Daily News reports that Kwasi Olatunji was shot and killed as a result of a fight at Flavor Lounge. The altercation started inside and spilled outside, which is where the shooting crime took place. The incident took place on Sunday, January 6, 2013. It was about 3:30 in the morning.
Crime Scene:
Flavor Lounge is located in Richmond Hill, Queens, New York. It is on Hillside Avenue.
Victims:
Kwasi Olatunji was 36 years old. He lived in Canarsie, Brooklyn, New York.
A separate 27-year-old victim was stabbed in the leg. His name was not released.
Although these victims are apparently criminals, that does not mean they can’t be victims, too. Even if you are not inclined to feel sorry for people like this, it is best to get the perpetrators off the streets before they hurt someone else - maybe someone totally innocent.
Suspect:
No suspect has been identified or arrested.
Motive:
I suppose the motive was to unfairly win a fight by using a gun. That’s the usual motive in these stupid cases.
Sources:
Stupid indeed. Kwasi was a father, a son a brother and so much more. These criminals took away a good man from this world. If you did some research into the life Kwasi lived, you would not write that he appeared to be a criminal. He was. A year. Away from getting his PhD
