MSNBC And NBC Nightly News Video: Wings Of Rescue’s Operation Animal Airlift Flies Shelter Dogs From L.A. To Oregon And Washington

The following MSNBC animal news video is about an organization that is helping rescue/shelter dogs in Los Angeles. It appeared on the December 8, 2012 edition of the NBC Nightly News.

The name of the organization is Wings of Rescue. In this clip, you can see footage of Operation Animal Airlift. Hundreds of dogs are being flown from L.A. to places in Oregon and Washington. Wings of Rescue relies on many volunteers to achieve its goal of finding good homes for rescue dogs.

Rene Ruston is from Wings of Rescue. She says that they have saved about 5000 dogs/animals in just the past 18 months or so.

Erica Cabanel-Meyer is a volunteer for the organization. She is happy that many dogs are saved, often with only hours to live before they are put to sleep by the animal shelter.

Victoria Nodiff-Netanel is another volunteer. She adopted one of the cute dogs right there on the runway.

To learn more about Wings of Rescue and possibly volunteer, go to their website at WingsOfRescue.org. At this time, the site appears to be under construction. They really need to work on it.
