James Massone is a singer competing on the 2nd season of The Voice. He has passed the initial blind auditions and is on Cee Lo Green’s team. In the next audition round (the Battle Rounds), James will compete against another Cee Lo teammate for a spot in the live rounds. Based on what I have seen so far, I predict Massone will lose in the Battle Round or win and get eliminated in the first live round.
Just like last year, Cee Lo is shaping up to have one of the weaker teams. This may give James a bit more of a chance to win his head-to-head battle, but not by much. Cee Lo has some marketable contestants that he or the producers may want to put through for ratings.
James would appear to be an afterthought in this contest. He has some sort of backstory about friend being killed in a basement. I don’t know if that is supposed to tug at our heartstrings or something or whether it got him a spot on the show. But I just don’t see James having any chance. He didn’t even sound like a very good singer, and he doesn’t look very marketable. I can’t see any reason why he is on The Voice.
