The iSeries Live poker program is a unique series of tournaments that is broadcast online. Watchers may place bets in real time on the players and other events occuring during the tournament, such as whether an Ace will hit on the flop. It is also unique in the sense that you get to see every player’s hole cards, and this includes the players that muck their hands preflop. The other unique aspect is that players in the game earn a portion of the money bet for or against them.
At this time, there has been only the inaugural poker tournament, which was a 10-person Sit N Go tournament in Ireland. The winner was UK player James Dempsey. At any given time, there were around 2,5000 to 3,000 people watching the Internet broadcast live. It is not certain how well this worked out as far as the volume of betting action. We will just have to wait and see if there will be any more events.
