American Idol Top 6 Hollie Cavanagh iTunes Studio Version of Miley Cyrus’ “The Climb”

Hollie Cavanagh was in big trouble with the voters heading into the Top 6 Week of American Idol 11. To help her cause, the show had her perform Miley Cyrus’ “The Climb” last in the singing order, which is the prime spot to get votes. And while she had a good performance here, it seemed a bit overrated by the judges. After all, it’s still just Hollie hitting clean high notes with an average to below-average vocal tone. Nonetheless, the overall staging of the performance may have saved her for another week. Both she and Elise need all the help they can get, and one of them will likely go tonight. All others would be at least a mild shocker if they were eliminated.
