Philip Phillips has made it to the Top 5 on American Idol 11. He is the only contestant to have still avoided the bottom 3 for the entire season. This is true even though Philip was not especially great during the Top 6. Everything suggests that Phillip has a strong fanbase that is ready to put him in the finale. With Colton Dixon gone, he seems like the perennial favorite to win the 11th season of American Idol.
However, crazy things do happen. Philip has had medical problems throughout the contest (kidney stones). Rumors were that he was really hurting during the Top 6. Will Philip survive the remaining weeks and win American Idol 11? Will he bounce back next week and secure his spot in the finale? He certainly seems like the favorite.
When the Top 5 theme and other information is revealed, I will update this article. However, the theme won’t mean much to Philip. He will just mold the songs to suit his own style, which is what his fans seem to love, anyway.
