Jessica Sanchez was just announced safe on the Top 5 results show of American Idol 11. She is in the Top 4 with Philip Phillips, Joshua Ledet, and Hollie Cavanagh.
In the coming days, we will learn about the theme for the Top 4. The song choices for each contestant are not actually revealed until the live performance shows. But a generic list of the song choices generally comes out a few hours before the show.
Jessica and the other remaining contestants in the Top 4 will be performing on Wednesday, May 9, 2012. It has not been announced whether the contestants will sing two or three songs, but they will at least be singing two.
For Jessica, it seems that she just isn’t going to have the time to get comfortable with uptempo songs. She should just stick to ballads and maybe soul songs and try to smile more if she does a group performance for the Top 4. I’ll post any important Jessica news if it becomes available throughout the week.
