Juliet Simms is a rock singer who is competing on the 2nd season of The Voice. She has made the Top 8 semifinals on Cee Lo Green’s team, and her last remaining teammate is Jamar Rogers. Based on all the available facts, I predict that Juliet will win in the Top 8 and advance to next week’s finale.
Juliet was right up there in iTunes sales with Lindsey Pavao in the Top 24. And when Lindsey fell dramatically in the Top 16, Juliet still remained pretty strong in iTunes sales despite losing out on the overall public vote to Jamar.
So it’s hard to pick between Juliet and Jamar because they each have strong points in the voting. Juliet seems very strong in iTunes sales, but Jamar has strong public appeal among the other voters. This may even come down to the singing order. The reason I pick Juliet to win in the Top 8 is because the show probably wants her in the finale. Therefore, it will cast her in the best possible light. This is not a definite, but the show probably wants to see someone hit #1 on iTunes like Dia did last year. The one that has the best chance of doing that appears to be Juliet. And the ridiculous black wings she wore during the Top 16 may have also contributed to her getting less votes. She didn’t look anything like a rocker in that getup.
Coach Cee Lo Green gets 50 percent of the vote to send either Juliet or Jamar to the Top 4. I suspect he will either give 50/50 or around 50/50, with any slight edge going to Juliet. Those numbers are added to the public vote’s percentage to determine the Top 8 winner. I wouldn’t bet money on it, but I’ll give the edge to Juliet Simms unless Cee Lo gives an inordinate amount of points to Jamar Rogers.
