Hall and Oates is the most successful duo of all time on the music charts. Daryl and John had the bulk of their success in the 70s and 80s. I first heard them when they had a huge hit in 1983 called “Maneater.” But they had many hits before that, and their first #1 single was “Rich Girl,” which is the very song Hall and Oates will be performing on the finale of The Voice 2. “Rich Girl” hit No. 1 on Billboard in 1977. It is from the 1976 album “Bigger Than Both Of Us.”
According to the NBC press release for the finale, this duo has sold more than 80 million albums worldwide. Other acts performing in the finals include Flo Rida, Justin Bieber, and Lady Antebellum.
The Voice 2 finale airs on Tuesday, May 8, 2012. It starts at 9 Eastern time and lasts 2 hours. At the time of this writing the final four have not yet been announced. But it appears that we will see a final 4 of Juliet Simms, Lindsey Pavao, Jermaine Paul, and either Tony Lucca or Katrina Parker.
