For the first time in American Idol history, there will be a bottom guy and a bottom girl in the Top 13.
On the results show, Ryan is announcing the bottom 3 for each gender (an overall bottom 6, but only one in each group will go to the judges’ decision for elimination).
First up are Jessica Sanchez, Hollie Cavanagh and Elise Testone. Elise is the only one in the bottom 3 for the girls
Next, we find that Heejun Han and Colton Dixon are safe, and Jermaine Jones is in the bottom 3 for the guys.
Erika Van Pelt is in the next group, and Shannon Magrane and Skylar Laine join her. Shannon almost certainly is in the bottom here. It was a disaster. Well, Erika Van Pelt is also in the bottom 3 girls. And Shannon joins her.
The bottom 3 girls are Shannon Magrane, Erika Van Pelt, and Elise Testone.
Phillip Phillips, Joshua Ledet, and DeAndre Brackensick form the next group. Jeremy Rosado joins them. Josh could be a surprise bottom 3 here on the boys’ side, but Jeremy is almost certainly bottom 3. Jeremy is announced as in the bottom 3, and Phillip is safe. DeAndre is safe, and Joshua Ledet is in the bottom 3.
The bottom 3 boys are Jeremy Rosado, Josh and Jermaine. Cue the racism claims from 12-year-old kids. 
Instantly, Josh and Erika were announced as safe.
The results will be announced after Mary J. Blige performs. She sang “Why.” Lauren Alaina also performed her “Georgia Peaches” single earlier in the show.
Jermaine Jones is safe. Shannon Magrane is safe.
Jeremy is the bottom guy, and Steven already said Jeremy should go home. Elise is the bottom girl, so Jeremy is certainly going home.
Jennifer Lopez announces that Jeremy Rosado is eliminated. He finishes in 13th place for American Idol 2012.
