James Massone seems to be more famous for his backstory than his singing. He was in a basement with some friends when a fight broke out. In the end, some of his friends were killed.
From the beginning, I have not been impressed with Massone. And Cee Lo’s picking him in the Battle Round is just another in a long line of Cee Lo errors. James is decent, but this is a serious singing contest on national TV. He is just not on the same level as a lot of the other contestants, and that makes his odds of winning very low.
Massone will be gone soon. With his best performance, he could get past the Top 24 and advance one more round. After that, he is likely to be done with The Voice 2.
James is singing Norah Jones’ “Don’t Know Why.” This guy has a pretty vocal tone, but there is no support behind it. It’s just too thin, almost like a young boy or someone who has had no voice lessons on how to project his voice. If Massone gets through, it won’t be for his singing.
Massone is being treated like a ladies’ man. Once again, the comments are scripted tonight. The show just seems fake now.
