Lady Antebellum’s latest single is “Wanted You More,” which is from the “Own The Night” album. The trio will be performing their single on The Voice 2 finale results episode. This is the same episode that will crown the winner. It airs on Tuesday, May 8, 2012. This episode is broadcast at 9 Eastern and lasts two hours. The final contestant performances take place the night before.
According to the RIAA, the “Own The Night” album has been certified platinum, which means sales of at least 1 million copies. The “Just a Kiss” single has sold over 2 million, and the “We Owned The Night” single has sold over 500,000 copies.
I can never stop shaking my head at these singing shows. They persist in inviting average singers to come and perform. I have never seen Lady Antebellum give a good live vocal for the Grammy Song and Record of the Year, “Need You Now.” Of the one girl and guy who actually sing, they simply don’t have good live voices. No one in a singing contest should be looking up to them. Contestants like Juliet can sing circles around the singers in Lady Antebellum.
