The following CNN news video is from Anderson Cooper’s TV show. It is an edition of Anderson’s The RidicuList segment. This edition is about a Twitter war between Donald Trump and Deadspin. The video was added to the CNN website on Friday, January 18, 2013.
Deadspin.com is the sports website that broke the story about Manti Te’o and the “fake girlfriend” hoax. As is the usual Trump fashion, The Donald is trying to milk the story for publicity. This time, he is engaging in a back-and-forth Twitter war against Deadspin. Anderson rightfully says this is ridiculous by putting it on his RidicuList.
Trump sent out a Tweet to congratulate Deadspin on breaking the story. Deadspin then responded by telling Trump to f*** himself. I don’t know what that was all about or why Deadspin Tweeted that. Did Trump and that website cook this thing up together for more publicity? I don’t know. But it was odd for Deadspin to suddenly tell The Donald to screw himself. It was like way out of left field.
Trump then went on about Katherine Webb for some reason. It didn’t even seem relevant. And he also razzed Deadspin by saying that other media stole their thunder. That is kind of silly. Of course, Deadspin must be getting a lot more traffic just from people mentioning their name all over the place and getting interviews on CNN, the Today show, etc.
