The Voice 2 has concluded its initial blind auditions and is now going to move on to the Battle Rounds. After having seen all the blind auditions, five potential winners come to my mind. Unfortunately, though, the way the rules of The Voice work, only one contestant from each team makes the finals.
Even if a contestant is only the 8th or 10th biggest vote getter overall, he or she will make the finals as long as that contestant navigates all the rounds and comes out on top on his actual team. In my opinion, this is a flaw in The Voice even though I do like the show overall. There should be one or two wildcards that can sneak into the finals based on overall votes.
I predict that Tony Lucca will make it from Adam’s team, probably Jamie Lono from Cee Lo’s team, Jordis Unga from Blake’s team, and Lindsey Pavao from Christina’s team. Of those four, I see Tony and Lindsey as strong predictions, with Jamie and Jordis being fairly strong but vulnerable picks.
Pip would be a stronger contender if he did not have to compete against Tony Lucca on Adam’s team. He is getting screwed over by the arguably unfair format.
At this point, I predict that Tony Lucca will be the winner of The Voice 2. Lyndsey would have the best chance of pulling an upset, and Jamie and Jordis are longshots.
Of course, these predictions could change. This article is being written after The Voice 2′s blind auditions but before the Battle Rounds. The coaches made some questionable picks during the Battle Rounds of the 1st season. As long as these four get past their Battle Round audition, look for them to vie for a spot in the 4-person finale.
Longshots:
There are a few other longshots that at least have some chance of winning The Voice 2. In addition to Pip, Erin Martin and Angel Taylor have some chance, but that is due more to image than the voice. Look for them to falter in the actual singing. Juliet Simms, Tony Vincent and Jamar Rogers are all good vocalists on Cee Lo’s team. Charlotte Sometimes is a contender on Blake’s team, and Christina team member Sera Hill has an outside chance.
