WITN has released a video about a crash that killed a mother and injured her small child. Two other adults were injured. The woman who died was a passenger in the woman driver’s vehicle. A man was driving the other car.

1. Mom Tynika Humphrey was 23 years old.
1. Humphrey’s 2-year-old son, Kaden, was expected to survive his injuries.
2. The driver of the car occupied by Humphrey, Tierra Lanier, is 22 and from Hookerton, North Carolina. She was also expected to survive.
3. The other driver was Joseph Howell. He is 46 and from Walstonburg, North Carolina. Howell also suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
Police say that Lanier made a left turn at the intersection, pulling into the path of Howell’s vehicle.
Lanier has not been charged. But the report says that charges are pending. Of course, this means no final decision has been made. It is likely to come down to how close Howell was and how fast he was going. But the report says nothing about Howell speeding before the accident.
