The Voice 4 had its semifinal results show on Tuesday, June 11, 2013. This season, there were 5 contestants in the semifinals, including Michelle Chamuel (Team Usher), The Swon Brothers (Team Blake), Sasha Allen (Team Shakira), Danielle Bradbery (Team Blake), and Amber Carrington (Team Adam).
There were several The Voice alumni on this episode. Season 3 alum, Nicholas David, performed “Say Goodbye” on this episode. I will add the YouTube video of this performance as soon as it is available for embedding.
Nicholas was the soul singer with the beard on Season 3. He made it all the way to the finals and finished in 3rd place, beat out only by winner Cassadee Pope and 2nd place finisher, Terry McDermott.
By the time the finals rolled around, David hit the top 10 on iTunes a couple of times. So his sales were actually better than most of Season 4’s contestants. Only Michelle Chamuel and Danielle Bradbery have hit the top 10 this year, with only two weeks to go.
According to Vita.mn, “Say Goodbye” is Nicholas David’s own song. This is the only Web page where I could find information on this song. It seems pretty clear that Nicholas has received little to no help from The Voice after the show. I don’t even know if “Say Goodbye” is available for download in iTunes. Does he even have an EP? This is a great soul singer who at least deserves one freakin album.
