The Voice 4 premieres on Monday, March 25, 2013. Adam Levine and Blake Shelton are back as judges. Usher and Shakira are replacing Christina Aguilera and Cee Lo Green.
Janetza Miranda auditioned on this episode with David Guetta’s “Titanium.” I will add the YouTube video below for this audition as soon as it is available from The Voice’s YouTube channel.
Janetza’s parents came from Puerto Rico. She is 25 years old and from Newark, New Jersey. She sings in Spanish but wants to be big in the English market. Miranda does some crazy bird call backstage before her audition.
Her voice is rather strange, and the vibrato is not smooth. Then, it sounds like she is just screaming after that.
Who turned their chair?
No judges turned their chair for this one.
She starts to cry before getting the judges’ comments. Blake said the verses were over the top. Shakira said it was the wrong key. Adam hugged her but didn’t comment. Usher said it is just the beginning.
There is a good voice in there. Janetza has a lot of power. But she clearly hasn’t had any real training in how to sing and doesn’t do it very well naturally like some singers. She might be able to come back later and give it another shot.
