On Monday, June 17, 2013, The Voice 4 had its final performance episode. 3 acts are in the finals for Season 4. They include Danielle Bradbery, The Swon Brothers, and Michelle Chamuel.
The winner of The Voice 4 will be announced on the Tuesday, June 18, 2013 results show. That grand finale starts at 9 p.m. Eastern time, and it lasts 2 hours.
In this final performance round, Danielle Bradbery performed a duet with her coach, Blake Shelton. They sang “Timber, I’m Falling In Love,” which is a Patty Loveless song. I will add the official YouTube video of this performance as soon as it is added to The Voice USA’s official channel.
“Timber, I’m Falling In Love” was written by Kostas. Vince Gill did some of the background vocals for this song. It hit #1 on the Billboard Hot Country Singles chart, in 1989.
Live Thoughts On Song Choice And Performance:
Danielle’s fans will probably eat this up. It’s a good song, especially the instrumentation. The vocals are like karaoke. But that isn’t going to change anything at this point. She did sound better than Blake, though.
Top 5 Recap:
In the top 5, 2 contestants were eliminated. They were Sasha Allen and Amber Carrington. Sasha was the last remaining member of Shakira’s team. Amber was the last hope for Adam Levine. So that means only Blake (The Swon Brothers and Danielle Bradbery) and Usher (Michelle Chamuel) have contestants in this week’s finals.
The judges did not comment on this duet performance.
Predictions Before The Show:
Danielle Bradbery has definitely not been the top iTunes seller every week. But it seems that she has sold the most throughout the season. Since all of these sales count as a bonus in the finals, the likelihood is that Danielle will win The Voice 4.
About the only way I could see Danielle losing is if all her fans abandon her en masse and buy iTunes downloads and vote like crazy for The Swon Brothers. It is certainly possible that they could get the most non-iTunes votes. But I don’t see Bradbery’s fans abandoning her now. And Michelle is not peaking at the right time. So I doubt she is going to beat Danielle in iTunes. So it would take a huge non-iTunes slaughter for Michelle to win. If this were Season 2, I could see Michelle having a chance. But with iTunes playing a bigger role now, my prediction before seeing the performances is that Danielle Bradbery will hold onto her edge and win The Voice 4.
Top 3 Contestants (In No Particular Order):
1. Danielle Bradbery (Team Blake)
2. Michelle Chamuel (Team Usher)
