The America’s Got Talent 7 Top 48 is the first live voting round of the season. Jake Wesley Rogers is a young singer and piano player who was chosen by the judges for this round. He is in the third group of 12, and Jake’s live performance aired on July 17, 2012.
The YouTube video below contains Jake Wesley Rogers’ Top 48 performance. If you don’t see it yet, then check back here about two to three hours after the show to give time for the live performances to be uploaded to YouTube.
Going into this show, it appears that Jake is well positioned to make it to the Top 24. He has not been featured extensively in auditions. However, he seemed to have a good voice when shown briefly in his Vegas audition. Let’s face it. You really only need a decent voice as a male singer on America’s Got Talent to have a decent shot at the Top 10.
More importantly, though, he is the only mainstream-type solo singer in the 3rd group of 12. Are people going to completely pass on the solo singers an entire week? I doubt it. And while All Beef Patty is technically a solo singer, his deal is really more of a variety act. Jake is going to get more votes than All Beef Patty. So as long as Jake Wesley Rogers has a decent vocal, expect him to be in the top 4 and advance to the next round of America’s Got Talent 7.
