The America’s Got Talent 7 Top 48 is the first live voting round of the season. There are four episodes of 12 acts for the ones chosen by the judges, a YouTube episode, and a wildcard episode. Light Wire Theater is in 3rd group among the original 48 chosen by the judges. They performed live on July 17, 2012.

Light Wire Theater is loosely described as a blacklight or electroluminescent act. They do the same kind of show as Season 5′s Fighting Gravity and Season 6′s Team iLuminate. Both of those acts finished in 3rd place. Based upon that, it is pretty reasonable to guess that Light Wire Theater will probably at least make the top 4 in their own group of 12 and advance to the Top 24. That is far from certain, however. The public may be getting tired of this kind of light show, and it has shown in the past a collective lack of desire to elevate a technological light/dancing act to championship status.
On the good side, though, Light Wire Theater does seem to be a bit better than the acts that came before it in the last two seasons. That is not likely to get them a win, but they should at least be entertaining enough in the Top 48 to advance to the next round.
