The America’s Got Talent 7 Top 48 is the first live voting round of the season. Spencer Horsman is an escape artist. He calls himself the world’s youngest escape artist, which is odd since he is actually 26 years old. Anyway, Spencer has been somewhat entertaining so far and was chosen by the judges to appear in the top 48. He was in the 3rd group of 12 acts that competed on the live episode of July 17, 2012.
Two hours or so after the show, the videos containing live AGT performances are uploaded to YouTube. I will post Spencer Horsman’s YouTube video below as soon as it is available.
This is a fairly tough group to predict before the show. Most of these acts have not been featured that much in auditions, but Spencer pretty much had two full audition performances aired during the audition episodes. Unless he totally bombs tonight (the timing of an escape act can be difficult on a live show), Spencer has a better-than-average shot at making the Top 24.
Magic acts have mixed results. But with two magic acts already getting eliminated, Spencer and next week’s mentalist, Eric Dittelman, now have an even better chance at making it to the next round. This is because the show likes to maintain a reasonable amount of genre variety throughout each round of the America’s Got Talent competition. I prefer Eric Dittelman as long as he is good with his timing and doesn’t blow his trick. But the public will probably like Spencer Horsman’s overall showmanship even though his actual props are overly amateurish in my opinion.
