The 2nd season of the US version of X Factor started on September 12, 2012. By Christmas time, we will have another winner. That champion will join Melanie Amaro as the first two winners of the US X Factor.
On September 12, 2012, Don Philip auditioned in Providence, Rhode Island. He has a rather odd backstory. Apparently, Don did a duet a long time ago with judge Britney Spears. But then he has some kind of ridiculous story about not wanting to disappoint her. Don, she doesn’t care about you. Get over yourself.
Philip sang Beyonce’s “Halo.” It had some technical flaws that the judges all noticed.
Predictions:
Don Philip is now back in the hole he crawled out of to get 15 more minutes of fame on X Factor. My prediction is that is where he will be staying.
Judges’ Votes And Audition Results:
None of the judges really likes his vocals. They all said NO.
Side Note: Based on what I read earlier on blogs, the edited version of this audition was far different than what really happened. Apparently, Don Philip said he was gay and had not come out because people and Britney would not accept it. Britney then reportedly got extremely upset, saying that she never said such a thing. But the audition continued nonetheless. And then Don got his four NO ‘s from the judges.
