The Voice 2 Finale Jermaine Paul Performance of Blake Shelton’s “God Gave Me You”

Jermaine Paul made it to the finale of The Voice 2. He is definitely not a country singer, but  each contestant ended up singing a song recorded by their coaches, which means Jermaine needed to pick a country song.

Jermaine chose Blake’s “God Gave Me You.” This was much closer to a country style than I was expecting. This was a good version and may impress country fans watching the show. Overall, this was better than his solo performance of “I Believe I Can Fly.” Jermaine had better control on this one, and the fact that it was a country song may have actually encouraged him not to lose control. He should have just chosen this one and now will be stuck hoping that people buy the oversung “I Believe I Can Fly” on iTunes.
