A college student has been killed in a pedestrian accident. The person who hit her left the scene, making this a hit-and-run criminal investigation. The driver has not been identified, but police believe he or she was driving a Pontiac G6. The color is believed to be cranberry or dark red, and the year of manufacture is believed to be between 2005 and 2010. The vehicle might be set low to the ground and have tinted windows.

1. Meghan Beebe was 21 and from Middlebury, Connecticut. She graduated from Middlebury’s Westover School and then went on to become a college student at the University of Massachusetts at Amherst. According to Rep-Am.com, Beebe was about to graduate because she had met all requirements.
Beebe was struck in a parking lot. Based on what witnesses said, they believe that the driver accidentally hit Meghan, stopped briefly, and then left the scene.
Charges of hit and run are quite likely if the driver is found. Other charges, such as manslaughter, will depend on how the accident occurred, whether the driver had been drinking, and other facts we are not aware of at this time.
