“One Fund Boston” is a money fund set up to provide financial assistance to the marathon bombing victims, and family members in the cases of the 3 fatally injured victims. According to this update, One Fund Boston is set to dole out $61 million in aid to these victims.
259 people filed a claim for a portion of this money, which requires proof of physical injury as a result of the bombing. Out of those, 232 were recognized as valid beneficiaries.
The families of the victims who died or had some other catastrophic injuries received about $2.2 million. This was well above what others received.
14 people received one million dollars because they lost a limb.
From there, it depends on days spent in the hospital. For example, one night in the hospital is $100,000. But 30 days is not $3 million. It is closer to $1 million.
Many people who received very minor injuries received about $8,000.
Note that these victims could be receiving money from other sources, as well. This is only one source of funds designed to help the victims.

The following CNN crime news video is an update to the history of Boston Marathon bombing suspect, Tamerlan Tsarnaev. It was added to the CNN website on May 22, 2013. The clip aired on Anderson Cooper’s TV show.
In Orlando, Florida, an FBI agent shot and killed Ibragim Todashev, a friend of Tamerlan’s. Tsarnaev was already suspected of being involved in a triple murder in 2011 – well before the April 15, 203 Boston bombing.
Authorities are now saying that Ibragim Todashev confessed to participating in this triple murder, and he also allegedly told them the motive was to cover up a drug ripoff. Todashev also said that Tamerlan Tsarnaev participated in the triple murder. The crime occurred in Waltham, Massachusetts. Another piece of information previously known is that Tamerlan was friends with one of the victims.
Apparently right before he was going to sign the confession, the FBI says Todashev whipped out a knife to assault an FBI agent. That agent then shot and killed Todashev. It is not clear how many people were in the room at the time.
Authorities are saying they are doing DNA testing in connection with this triple murder to see if it provides further evidence that Tamerlan Tsarnaev killed these 3 victims in 2011.

The man’s name is Ibrahim Todashev. The FBI agent said he shot and killed Todashev in self-defense after the man attacked him.
Authorities had not suspected Ibrahim Todashev of direct involvement in the Boston bombing. But they were investigating whether Tamerlan Tsarnaev may have been involved in other criminal activity in connection with Todashev. Ibrahim was allegedly linked to a radical group in Russia.

The following CNN crime news video is about the burial of a Boston Marathon bombing suspect. After several Boston-area cemeteries refused to bury Tamerlan Tsarnaev. After days of searching, the family finally found a place to bury him. It was in the small town of Doswell, Virginia.
In this CNN clip, which is from Jake Tapper’s TV show, you can see an interview with Floyd Thomas, who is a county official in Doswell. He is on the Board of Supervisors for Caroline County, Virginia.
This series of stories has still got to be one of the dumbest things I have ever seen. Taking a body for burial in a cemetery is in absolutely no way whatsoever an endorsement of the person or what he did when he was alive. This is not a real controversy. It is only a few idiots without general respect for the family of a dead man and a few politicians who saw the opportunity to try to score brownie points. Pathetic. This is the only way this story was going to end. We bury people in America whether they were good or bad. It was going to happen in Doswell, Virginia, or it would have happened somewhere else.
Just LOL at Floyd Thomas’s comments. Of course, no one sought permission from the Board of Supervisors to bury Tamerlan Tsarnaev there. That’s because there is no legal requirement to do so. Why would anyone seek permission through a legal process that doesn’t even exist? And if Floyd Thomas thinks this is a public safety issue, then why is he participating in publicizing it on national TV?
