Swansea, Massachusetts Crime News: Lisa Mello Killed In Suspected Murder At Her Home On Ocean Grove Avenue

AP and the Boston Herald report that Lisa Mello was apparently killed in her home in Swansea, Massachusetts. Mello’s house in onĀ Ocean Grove Avenue. She was found dead on Saturday, November 24, 2012. Lisa was 51 years old.

Is this a crime?

The info so far is very vague. Because it does not list either a manner of cause of death, we can’t say for sure right now if this is a murder case. Was she beaten, stabbed, or shot? The AP report does not specify. When nothing is mentioned, that usually means a beating or some type of blunt force trauma. Presumably, an autopsy will determine whether Lisa Mello was killed by an unknown assailant.

As this is early in the investigation, there are apparently no known suspects or motive. It was not mentioned in the report whether there was any forced entry or items taken from the home. So we don’t even know whether this was a home invasion or burglary yet.
