But even though London 2012 just wrapped up, Sochi is really just around the corner because it takes place during the winter months instead of the summer. That means there are only about 18 months between London and Sochi.

According to the official website, the Sochi Olympics Opening Ceremony is scheduled for February 7, 2014. The Games will then last 16 days, including the Opening Ceremony day. The Closing Ceremony will then wrap up the Sochi Games on February 23, 2012.

The Sochi, Russia Paralympic Winter Games Opening Ceremony is scheduled for March 7, 2014. The Paralympics Closing Ceremony is on March 16, 2014.

The official website for these Olympics is Sochi2014.com. The website is written in Russian, but you can click on “English” at the top to translate it.
