Olivia Chisholm is a contestant on the first season of Duets. Her celebrity singing partner is Robin Thicke.
In the Top 8, the show ended up having three weeks of performances instead of one. Olivia’s scoring results have been less than average so far. She was 5th the first week, last the 2nd week, and 6th the third week. Olivia was lucky that only the last week’s scores counted for the sing-off. That put her ahead of Alexis Foster, who was eliminated when she fell to the bottom 2 last week and lost the sing-off.
Needless to say, Olivia needs to make some major changes to continue to advance in this Duets contest. She was probably saved by the song choice last week instead of her actual singing.
Robin and Olivia are singing Al Green’s “Let’s Stay Together.” This sounds so weak in rehearsals. Her voice isn’t projecting at all. Olivia is surviving on fumes right now.
Half of her notes are barely audible. This is total amateur hour for Olivia Chisholm. Out of the first four, I don’t know how she can’t be in the bottom. I’m no huge Robin fan, but he is making his part a lot more unique. Olivia should just go home. No power. No phrasing. No originality.
The judges were nice and sounded like they didn’t want to admit how bad it was. She was 4th in the first 4 contestants in the judges’ scoring.
