Philip Phillips won the 11th season of American Idol on Wednesday, May 23, 2012. As usual, the winner makes the media rounds, appearing on numerous TV shows to perform or give interviews.

Philip talks about his name, saying that it is also his dad’s name. He is a Jr., but his dad goes by Donny. He also said that he was not really expecting to even get in front of the judges when he auditioned for Season 11.
Phillips also talked about having his surgery in around two weeks and starting the Idol concert tour in July.
Jay and him talked about the fact that Philip is not really into fashion. But for some reason, his unfashionable clothes were actually more expensive than any of the other Top 12 contestants.
