La Vergne, Rutherford County, Tennessee Crash News Video: Anne Marie Hudson Killed In Driveshaft Accident On Interstate 24

A woman from Canton, Georgia, has been killed in a crash in La Vergne, Rutherford County, Tennessee. There was no crash between vehicles. But what happened was that a driveshaft from one vehicle came loose and hit some cars. The woman who died was killed when the driveshaft crashed into the car being driven by her husband.

Anne Marie Hudson was the woman killed. She was 77 and lived in Canton, Georgia. Her husband, LeRoy Hudson, was driving. He is also 77 and from Canton. LeRoy was not injured.

Other Drivers:

The name of the driver of the vehicle that had the driveshaft come loose was not reported. He is a man from Lebanon, Tennessee. The driveshaft hit the tire of another vehicle. That driver’s name was not released, either. Neither of these people was injured.


Police have called this a mechanical accident.

Criminal Charges:

The man whose driveshaft came loose is not directly charged with causing this crash. But according to WSMV, he was charged with operating a vehicle without insurance.
