Jacksonville, Florida Crime News: Katrina Wilcox Identified By Mom As Victim Shot And Killed On E. Lincoln Court

First Coast News has cited Katrina Wilcox’s mother, Sabrina, as saying that Katrina was the victim shot and killed in Jacksonville on Saturday, January 5, 2013. This is the shooting that occurred at an apartment in the 2400 block of E. Lincoln Court (the Hogan’s Creek neighborhood). The authorities have not officially identified Katrina as the victim. She was 30 years old.

Conflicting Information?

The police reportedly said that there was an argument in the apartment before Katrina was killed. But the mother may be telling a slightly different version. She told First Coast News that a woman came to the door and that Katrina then said she would be back. Minutes later, Katrina had been shot and killed. So the police are going to have to sit people down and get a point-by-point account of what happened.

For now, though, we have the possible motive of an argument that escalated to a shooting. As far as what has been reported, though, there is no known suspect.
