I-235 And Oklahoma City, Oklahoma Crash News Video: Taxi Driver Benny Wadsworth Killed In Wrong-Way Accident

News9.com reports that a taxi driver was struck and killed by a wrong-way driver, in the Oklahoma City, Oklahoma area.

The crash happened on Friday, February 15, 2013. It was about 3:30 in the morning. Wadsworth died in the hospital, on Saturday, February 16, 2013.

Benny Wadsworth was the cab driver killed in this accident. Warren Wand was a passenger in the taxi. He survived.

It would be premature to call the driver of the van a “suspect” in this case. An investigation for criminality continues. In any event, that person’s name was not revealed.

A van was driving the wrong way down Interstate 235. That caused a head-on collision with Benny’s taxi cab. It is not yet known if the unidentified van driver was intoxicated at the time. Tests are being run to see if he was driving drunk.

Criminal Charges:

It is too early to tell if the van driver will be charged with any crimes in this case. In some cases, there is a medical problem that causes this kind of accident. That would need to be ruled out first.
