Both The Choice and Take Me Out had their series debuts and premiere episodes on June 7, 2012. Take Me Out took up the 8:00 to 9:00 p.m. time slot. The Choice occupied the 9 to 10 p.m. slot.
The Choice fared better overall than Take Me Out. It had a 1.7 rating with a 5 share for the 18-to-49 demographic rating. Take Me Out had a 1.3 and 5 share.
In overall viewers, The Choice also did better, with about 4.213 million viewers to Take Me Out’s 3.306 million. However, this is probably not that big of a surprise because The Choice has celebrity contestants, which tends to increase ratings for game shows.
The Choice won its time slot against all other networks in demographic ratings. Here were the results:
FOX The Choice 1.7 5
CBS Person Of Interest -R 1.5 4
NBC Saving Hope 0.7 2
CW The Vampire Diaries -R 0.2 1
However, Person of Interest did have almost 7 million viewers. So The Choice was 2nd in its time slot for overall viewers. Here were the results:
CBS Person Of Interest -R 6.909
FOX The Choice 4.213
NBC Saving Hope 3.124
CW The Vampire Diaries -R 0.503
