The following FOX News video deals with marine animals. It was uploaded to their website on July 17, 2012.
According to marine experts, something strange is happening in Hawaii. The south shoreline of Oahu (the island where Honolulu is located) is being invaded by millions of small purple crabs.
The crabs are very small and are all curled up on the beach. They are probably about one centimeter in diameter and are described as being about the size of a pea.
Even experts at the aquarium have not seen this type of crab before. The expert on this video says they are some kind of crab that is still in the larva stage.
Officials at the Waikiki Aquarium are trying to preserve some of the live crabs to learn what happens as they continue to grow. They look at this as a learning experience.
