Duets Top 7 Judges’ Scores and Results

The Top 7 week of the first season of Duets airs at a special time due to the NBA Finals. The show is at 9:30 Eastern time, and it is on Wednesday instead of Thursday. The date of the broadcast is June 13, 2012. It also lasts 90 minutes instead of two hours.

According to Duets, it will switch to public voting in 2 weeks (it is now Top 7 Week). Until then, the celebrity duet partners continue to act as judges. All of the judges’ scores have been kept secret. And the process of allowing competitors to vote against their competition has been nothing but controversial (in a bad way).

For now, though, this is what we have to live with for a couple more weeks until they get rid of this dumb idea for good (hopefully).

Below, I will give the running order for judges’ scores for the Top 7. The show only releases the order, not the raw score for each contestant. J Rome and John Glosson appear to be the two favorites at this point, with Meleana right there in the mix.

At the end of the 7 duet performances, the bottom 2 will do a sing-off. Once again, the judges will decide who goes home. Only the score for the sing-off counts to determine who gets eliminated.

1. Jason Farol (he went first, so this doesn’t mean anything yet)

Olivia and Meleana are the bottom 2, so they went into a sing-off.

In the sing-off, the judges chose Olivia Chisholm. Meleana was eliminated and finishes in 7th place.
