Crash Video Files: Lake Cumberland, Wayne County, Kentucky: Jeffrey Asbell And Bradley Smith Killed In Boat Accident During “Poker Run” Event

Two men have been killed in a boating accident on Lake Cumberland, which is in Wayne County, Kentucky. The crash occurred during the Poker Run, which is an annual event at this lake. There were no other passengers or boats involved. The incident occurred near Tom’s Creek and Camp Earl Wallace.

When:

Saturday, September 7, 2013, at about 11:30 in the morning

Victims:

Jeffrey Asbell was 47 years old. Bradley Smith was 39. These victims are from somewhere in Missouri. The city was not stated in reports I have seen on this accident.

Cause:

Authorities believe that Asbell and Smith were flying along at up to 100 miles per hour or more. The boat somehow went airborne and flipped over. The resulting force killed the victims.
