A local doctor has been killed in a plane crash out at the Danville Regional Airport (Virginia). He was the only occupant on board the airplane at the time of the accident.

Dr. Scott J. Banuelos was a staff member of Danville Regional Medical Center. TimesDispatch.com says he originally came from Colorado and got his medical degree in 1998.
Dr. Banuelos was trying to make a landing when the airplane banked left for some unknown reason. It then hit an antenna tower and fell to the ground.
The National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB), which is part of the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), will conduct an investigation into the cause of the crash. They generally have one year to make findings.
