Crash Video Files: Arkansas City, Cowley County, Kansas: Clessie Cole Jr. Killed In Car Accident At U.S. 166 and 11th; Shunda L. Vinson And Ashley M. Osborne Injured

One man was killed in this two-vehicle crash. He was one of the drivers. His passenger and the other driver – both females – were injured.

Date: Sunday, November 10, 2013

Time: About 9:30 at night

City / County / State: Near Arkansas City, Cowley County, Kansas

Address: Intersection of 11th Road and U.S. Highway 166

Victims Killed:

1. Clessie Cole Jr. was 47 and lived in Wichita, Kansas.

Victims Injured:

1. Cole’s passenger, Shunda L. Vinson, is 41 years old. She was injured and taken to the hospital. Vinson’s city of residence was not provided.

2. The other driver, Ashley M. Osborne, is 25 and from Arkansas City. She was also transported to the hospital for treatment.

The medical status of Vinson and Osborne was not available.

Cause:

Police believe that Cole was driving on 11th Road, and Osborne was approaching on 166. Cole had a stop sign, and Osborne did not. For some reason, Cole pulled out into the path of Osborne’s vehicle, causing a collision.

Criminal Charges?

Based on reports, it doesn’t seem at this time that Osborne did anything to cause the accident. So charges seem unlikely.
