This was a two-vehicle crash. 4 men were killed, and they were all in one car. The 4 in the other car were injured.

Names of the 4 men who were killed are not available yet due to family notifications. They range in age from 40 to 53. All 4 were riding in a Toyota Camry.
Sonny V. Granados is 23 years old and from Chico, California. He was the driver of the second car, a Mercedes S550. Sonny sustained major injuries.
Note: All 3 below suffered only minor injuries.
Jennifer Gonzalez is 38 and from Paradise, California.
May O. Subaran is 25 and lives in Chico.
Lucia Granados is 30 and also lives in Chico.
The Camry and the Mercedes collided in the intersection. Although the report says that the Camry (proceeding down Oswald Road) pulled into the path of the Mercedes (proceeding down 99), it does not clearly state who had the right of way. It is not known yet whether alcohol played a role in the crash. As far as seat belts, it was only reported that one of the men in the Camry was not buckled up. It was not clearly stated whether the other 7 victims were or were not wearing their seat belts.
No one has been charged in this early phase of the investigation.
