The following CNN animal news video is about a bold chef and restaurant that decided to serve kangaroo and lion meat for a special event. Not surprisingly, some people are outraged over this act. The video was uploaded to the CNN website on August 10, 2012.
The kangaroo thing is not really controversial. That is commonly served in Australia, and there are plenty of kangaroos to go around. Things like foie gras are somewhat controversial. That is illegal in some states or cities, but it is not in Wichita, Kansas.
Of course, lions are not that plentiful in the wild. So it is ridiculous to even think about serving lion meat.
Chef Jason Febres came up with this idea. He now claims he would not have done it if he knew people would be so upset. LOL. Does the guy know nothing about animal preservation? He is a chef.
Lions are not actually on the endangered species list, so it is apparently legal to serve lion. They also claim they get their meat from some farm in the United States.
