CNN News Video – Star City, West Virginia: Search For 16-Year-Old Missing Girl, Skylar Neese

The following CNN crime news video is about Skylar Neese. She is a 16-year-old girl who disappeared on July 6, 2012. Skylar was last seen in the vicinity of her home, which is in Star City, West Virginia. This video was added to the CNN website on September 12, 2012. This segment appeared on the Issues With Jane Velez-Mitchell show.

An interesting wrinkle to this case is that Neese sneaked out of her house to meet friends and rode around in a car with them. We know this for sure because a surveillance video caught her leaving through her bedroom window. And the friends verify the story.

After that, they say they dropped Neese off at a corner near her house. The friends are the last ones known to have seen her.

Are the friends telling the truth? Probably. But what happened to Skylar Neese when she was dropped off?

Father Dave Neese is interviewed in this story. He says he really has no idea what happened. Although there have been dozens of people claiming to have seen her, she has not been found. Some of those were likely mistaken identifications.

Nothing else in this video suggests that the police even have a suspect in the case. The disappearance of Skylar Neese remains a mystery for now.
