CNN News Video: “Club 64″ Marijuana Club Opens In Denver, Colorado at 4:20 P.M., On January 1, 2013

The following CNN news video is about the first private pot club in Denver, Colorado after marijuana was legalized in the state. This video was added to the CNN website on January 1, 2013. On New Year’s Eve, Club 64 opened its door at 4:20 p.m. (420 is a common nickname for pot and has something to do with the traditional lighting-up time). Jim Spellman is reporting for this video.

Club 64 took its name from Colorado’s Amendment 64, which is the law that legalized pot for recreational use.

Rob Corry is a co-owner. He says you cannot buy marijuana from this club. It is a social gathering place for people who like to smoke pot.

Gabriel Kinderay is a club member. He talks about being able to be more open about using marijuana since the new law passed. Miguel Lopez said something about freedom while coughing on camera. This guy is a real poster child for marijuana use. LOL.

Chloe Villano is a co-owner of Club 64. She talked about dreams and visions for this industry.

For now, it is still illegal to sell marijuana in Colorado. It will be another year before anyone can legally sell it.

The co-owners are so full of crap. They are trying to make it sound like they have some sort of grand purpose. People don’t need a club to smoke marijuana. They can do it in their own homes. The club exists for the owners to make money. Period.

A membership to Club 64 is about $30.
