The following CNN news video is about a 2-year-old girl named Pipi Kruger. Her family was having a backyard barbecue when she was badly burned. All together, she had burns on 80 percent of her body.
Luckily, Pipi was able to undergo an operation to get new skin.
Anice Kruger is the mother. She was interviewed, as well. You can also see a few images of Pipi in the operating room at the hospital.
This was the first time that skin manufactured by the Boston, Massachusetts Genzyme company has been used in South Africa.
